   I’ve been to a number of pet stores in the Bronx, however I have not been impressed with their selection and sometimes service. In creating The Pet Lounge, Inc I’ve tried to place the customer first and tried to communicate the importance of raising a pet. I’ve been in the hobby for over 20 years and I’ve own The Pet Lounge for a little over 3 year. What I have done is to select the best products for raising your pet. I am a fish guy however my brother is the reptile guy and my mom takes care of the Birds and small animals; oh and my cousin grooms the dogs and cats. Grooming is performed on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
   
   We carry a wide selection of fish including the king of fish; the Discus. We’ve partnered with Jack Wattley and carry his selection. I’ve been a big fan of Jack and can say that no other pet shop within the Tri-state area can carry Jack Wattley Discus but us. With regards to other pets we have a vast selection of reptiles. We carry king snakes, corn snakes, Tokay Gecko, Lemon Geckos, Leopard Geckos, Crested Geckos, anoles and frogs. In our bird selection we carry Parakeets, Finches, Love Birds, Cockatiels and Quakers.
   
   We also carry their foods so most individuals come to The Pet Lounge on Tuesday to take advantages of our 10% off on all live products. We sell mice, rats, feeder goldfish, black worms, mega worms, brine shrimp and crickets.
   
   It is amazing to me that the corporate pet shops sell their mice for $1.79 or higher. I think the highest price I’ve seen was $2.49. At the Pet Lounge we sell our mice for $1.59 and if you come on Tuesday it will be less.

   This shop has it all! And if they dont have it, the guys that work there will either get it for you or send you somewhere where you can find it. Its a great place for beginners looking to start a fresh water tank. I absolutely adored their selection of Discus and the African Cichlids. I must highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to begin collecting and observing such fine specimens.

   OMG. I love The Pet Lounge. I've been to a lot of local pet shops but never really felt they were a community based friendly organization. The staff is just so friendly and knowledgable. They even have a top of the line pet grooming service. OMG. I love how my dog was treated and cared for when he was with them. And the animals in their store are so well kept, it's not like a lot of stores where the animals look cagey and wild with a neglected look, these animals look like they're thriving. So nice to have such a caring and organized staff to aid you. 2 thumbs up. Yea....
