User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThis is more of a suggestion than a review. I am a native of Charlotte and I've heard great things about Petra's, but haven't been yet. It would be great if Petra's had a website with information about its events, music or otherwise...it would help a first timer pick a night to go...websites are cheap...even a Facebook page is better than nothing...just an idea to help get the word out about all the great stuff you have to offer!!

You gotta love what they do at Petra's. There really is something for everybody and everyone seems to be so comfortable in the fun atmosphere they have created. And if you haven't been on a Sunday night for the live jazz, you gotta go.

I was not very satisfied with the overall atmosphere of this establishment. The drinks where very expensive and the service was not spectacular either. Parking was also a problem. The patrons also seemed to be very clicky, I felt as though I was an outsider from the moment we walked in. I am new to the Charlotte area and this discourages newbs from getting out and checking out the town.

I have not had this experience at all at Petra's. I have been going there off and on for over a year. They have brought in a new owner who has apparently dropped some big bucks adding a great patio and pool room and shaking up the music programming. You should give it another shot.
