    My biggest complaint about sushi in general is that it has become a boring and uninspired cookie-cutter food item. Every place is the same. However that is not true when you visit Fuji Sushi. Their menu is innovative, the old standards are spun in a different way and there is a lot of thought and heart put into the job. Fuji Sushi is a best-kept secret, and an outstanding alternative to the others that tend to present the same-old stuff..

    I also am from NY and am very critical myself. FANTASTIC food, staff, and atmosphere. Prices are very good for the quality of the food. Ask them about saki mojito's. One of the owners, Wade, has been the one that has prepared my sushi when I have gone there so I can't speak for any of the other chefs. However with the attention to quality that Wade has demonstrated I would not dare second guess it. Great place for two. NOW GO!!!

    I am originally from New York and used to work at a sushi place so I am very critical of my sushi. This was the best sushi I've had in Gainesville- I have tried most of the sushi places here.
