I don't know what the other individual is talking about and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a post by a local stables competing for business. My daughter and I BOTH ride at these stables TWICE a week and LOVE the place. The owners are fabulous, the instructors are friendly AND very professional. Also, they have several horses, so none of them are overused. The horses are constantly checked for water and food. There is NO way these horses are used 3 hours a day...that is a lie. Also, these stables are the best I've seen in the area. VERY clean and beautiful. Trust me, I've been to other stables (e.g., Forest Grove Stables) and have found nothing compares to Red Gate Farms.
Red Gate Farm , Hamilton is a riding school with excellent instructors. But ... the barn is stinky and dirty. The horses have a lot of time no water or hay. The horses doesn't get the food they need for there hard jobs. Some of the horses are over used - some very old ponies are used 5 days a week, 3 hours a day.
Boarding in this facillity is much to expencive and you don't get , what they tell you , you will get.
You pay for a stall and using facility, but you only can use it, when there are no lessons, no privat lessons, no camps or other events, outdoor only until 9PM , and the stall, well maybe you can use it, when all the lessons are done and no other horses -Red Gate Owner's horses don't use the stalls for themself. The horses are in the full sun the hole day, the water troughs are most of the time massy (and sometimes with dead birds in it). You pay full board and get a bad field boarding.
