I have been going to Jack for a few years now. He's great especailly if you have no insurnce. THe cost to see him is far less than it would cost for my family to pay for insurance. He is a straight shooter and loves a good laugh. He has helped me over the years lose weight and is always given encouragement and does not follow some archaic weight loss chart. I would recomend him, but if I do it would make it harder for me to get a appointment with him. Sorry I'm Selfish.....
Terrible. Dr Jack must be good but Dr Orencia has been worthless both times my wife has been in there. The first time Dr Orencia looked at my wife and barely spent any time with her and then wrote a prescription for something that didn't turn out to be accurate. Today my wife went in with a rash and Dr Orencia had no idea what it was, told her she could not take anything for it (my wife is pregnant), and would not refer her to a dermatologist or anyone else. She went back to her OB and the OB has told us never to waste our time with Dr Orencia again. I agree with that sentiment.
I really like Jack. He seems to honestly care. He seems to be a strait forward western medical provider but does work well with non-traditional providers and methods. He works hard to provide top notch care AND I've seem him many times try to keep costs to a minimum. He hates to waste money. Yours or the insurance companies. He doesn't call for test just because. He tries the less expensive medications first and only goes for the more expensive ones if those prove to not be effective. He was great with my teen age daughter and covered that serious coming of age talk much better than I would have. (By a long shot) Like I said, he cares.
Why did I only give him 4 out of 5? I save 5 for geniuses and performance way above and beyond. Jack and his staff hasn't had the chance to show me they meet that criteria yet. Maybe by being so good at their jobs things never get to where they have to go above and beyond.

It sucks that your procedure wasn't covered by insurance but that is just a small percentage of what medical treatment is about. Are you saying that you wouldn't have had the procedure if you knew it wouldn't have been covered?
