I think this restaurant is catching on to the bad reviews, for we went to dinner on a Sunday night, and the service was excellent. We were asked several times if the food was good, or if we needed anything else. We had the pizza and the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. They were both very good, and arrived promptly. I liked the cozy bar atmosphere with flat screen televisions. I would go there again, and take friends. This restaurant is right next to the Qwest center, which could be very convenient.
This restaurant is so awful it doesn't even deserve a star. Two of my girls and I went on a Friday afternoon for lunch and we sat at the bar. One of the bartender filled our drinks but she did not give us a menu or anything. I had to get up myself and pick up three menus. Clearly one of the bartender who was cutting lemon did not pay any attention to us. Ten minutes went by and we were ready to order but no one paid any attention to us. We ordered their spinich dip and found a blonde hair in it. GROSS. They replaced it but we were hesitant to dig in. The food was horrible. I ordered a philly cheese steak and there was barely any meat on the buns, all I got were beef fat. This restaurant is too cheap and stingy to offer me quality beef on my sandwhich. How does that justify the price I pay for this sandwich. My spoon had some dried food residue. I can see the waitstaff standing around the bar and fooling around. If you ever consider coming here to eat, I suggest that you go to McDonalds, even they provide better service than these people.
Terrible.
In fairness, I can't comment on the food. The service was so poor that I did not even wait around to find out.
My friend had seen the restaurant while driving one day, and suggested that we stop in to check it out. Not only was there no clear indication of where to await seating, but a look of complete bafflement on the face of the waitress (hostess?) standing by the register was the only greeting we received. My friend told her, awkwardly, "Two, please." The waitress muttered something unintelligible, and began walking toward (we had to assume...) our table. The table was was un-bussed, and the waitress - again with the incoherent mumbling - grabbed a rag and spray bottle to clean it off. As we sat down, she hastily handed us menus, and walked off.
We peered at the menu, remarking - only half-joking - on the absurdity of charging $1.50 extra for bacon on a cheeseburger, and pondered what might feasibly justify charging $1.00 extra to cook sweet potato fries in place of the standard potato fare.
Five minutes passed. No waitress. Ten minutes passed. Still, no waitress. No offer of beverages. No call for appetizers. No explanation, whatsoever. The dining area was anything but busy, with most of the tables empty. During our time in the restaurant, a handful of servers were clearly visible around the area of the bar and kitchen entrance, but only two ever came into the dining area. The couple seated to our left - who were there when my friend and I arrived - got up, the husband remarking gruffly, "Maybe, if we go sit at the bar, they'll see us." At that point, my friend, equally bemused, set the ultimatum: "Two minutes, and we're out of here." Two minutes passed. We left. Not a soul seemed to care or even notice.
Some restaurants have bad nights. This is forgivable - particularly when the waitstaff is visibly "swamped". The experience my friend and I went through was no fluke. We went on a Thursday night, and could see quite clearly that a generous 1/3 of the tables were empty. To deliver poor service on such a slow night is lousy enough. To barely deliver service, period, is unforgivable. It would surprise me greatly if Old Mattress Factory Bar & Grill were to remain in-business for too much longer.

We hosted a prenuptual dinner on Aug 29th for about 80 people & it was fantastic. They set up a mexican buffet upstairs that received rave reviews from our guests. In fact, several people commented that the buffet was one of the best they had ever had. The service was outstanding & I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
