An ironworker named Duke established the restaurant in 1968 when he built a 'new' BBQ smoker from a section of the old Rocky Mountain pipeline that utilized real hickory logs. According to legend, this smoker produces some of the best BBQ in town! User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsTo echo what TJ said, this place is way overpriced. Additionally, the wait for a table is LONG, and they don't do call ahead seating like other area chains.
Plus, why can't they include some type of bread with the meal? Charging extra for cornbread is outrageous.
I remember when they first opened. The service was a complete disaster. I see things haven't changed much.
I will say the ribs are good, but not worth the extra hassle.-

It's like this...my visit to Smokey Bones was so bad i would'nt return if it was free. Also i never evn received any kind of reply from them after i e-mailed them. Tells me they don't care about thier customers!!!!!!
