Dante's Pizzeria & Italian

While I agree that Little Nikki's may be the best bang for the buck for Italian in the area (with Mariano's Cucina in Jessup the best overall Italian), I have had Dante's Pizza many times and it's always been good. I only ever had a Gyro off the menu, and that was good too. In fact, after living in the area for the last 5 years and seeing Bella Roma go way down hill after the original owner sold it and moved on, I was thrilled to find a good, round, NY style pizza again. All of the best known pizza's around here are square (The Library, Colarusso's), but in the mid-valley area every round pizza I tasted either suffered from cheese with no flavor, uninspiring sauce, or leather crust. Dante's was good, and I even had a party last weekend and everyone commented how flavorful it was.

I recently at at dantes for the second time.Why I don't know the first time I had sausage and pepers.It was terriable the food looked awful I never seen white sausage no flavor it looked boiled instead of fried.Then I gave them a second chance with a pasta dinner needless to say.I didn't think the food could of been worse then the first time.The pasta was terriable my silverware looked like it had not been washed and the food was over priced.I've been a food critic for 15 years for varous papers.DO your self a favor try a real Italian dinner at LIttle Nikki's or Fratelli's or you decide for yourself.I give it 0 out of five stars.From the food to the service I've heard other compliants about this place too.I didn't try the pizza but I'm sure it can't be much better!Thank you
