I worked for attorneys for over 20 years, and where a lot of firms will do a blanket standard of all kinds of cases – slip and falls, dram shop, divorce, criminal - Michigan Auto Law has always been known to be the firm to go to if you’re ever in any kind of serious auto accident because that’s the only type of work that they specialize in. In working with Ian Freed and Jeff Bussell, I have seen that the lawyers here are experts in the field, in terms of trucking accidents and really being knowledgeable of the no fault laws that continue to change. I have learned the hard way that insurance companies don’t want to pay money out, and they take advantage of the average lay person not knowing all of the small print on the insurance policies. You pay all these high premiums, but when push comes to shove, insurance companies don’t want to pay for the benefits that are owed to injured people. When I approached the Gursten firm for help, I was under the impression that plaintiff attorneys are out to make a quick buck. But I’ve seen attorneys here have a humanitarian quality and truly want to help their clients who are having a tough time getting their benefits. Unfortunately the way the economy is in Michigan, it’s nice to see people standing up for the little guy.

My first impression of Michigan Auto Law was they showed genuine concern for my well-being – and this continued until the end of my case. My lawyer Tom James was a very nice guy. I’ve had conversations with him that were more than my car accident and insurance companies. He educated me and even cared for my family. Tom always followed up with me and made sure I knew exactly what was happening during each step of my case. I was very pleased with the results, even though there’s no dollar amount that could take this pain away. I came to Michigan Auto Law because I was referred to by a friend, and in turn, I have already referred this law firm to several friends.

Down to earth lawyers

I was rear ended and hurt pretty bad so I figured I was going to need someone to help me with the situation. I called Michigan Auto Law and I met Jeff Bussell first. He was a nice guy and explained my rights to me so I could clearly understand. My lawyer was Dave Christensen. He was pretty cool. I liked him because I was nervous to interact with a lawyer, but he was very easy to understand and relate to. He simplified every step and development in my case and won a fair award for me. I recommend Dave because he’s a good lawyer, and the type of person who will look out for your best interests. The law firm staff were very understanding of my circumstances too and called me back on time.
