Best pizza anywhere in Houston. We eat there about once a month and just love the great food and wonderful staff. If you have never been you owe it to yourself, friends and family to go. If you have been then you know what I'm talking about and are probably ready to go again already.
We just ate there as a family tonight. We were impressed with the food but even more impressed with the service, short wait for our food, and incredibly cleanliness. We have a toddler and I have never seen a restaurant high chair as clean as the ones at Brooklyn Pizzeria. As a mom, that was really important to me.
The employees were courteous and efficient and kept things moving really smoothly. We arrived at the beginning of a rush (Friday, 6pm) and I didn't see anyone waiting long at all.
We had the Brooklyn Specialty pizza and it was great. The garlic cheese bread was average, though the dipping sauce was fantastic, and next time I'll ask for my salad dressing on the side (very generous proportion came on the salad). The prices were totally reasonable - about $16 for a large specialty (and it was quite a large- bigger than chain pizza places larges).
Great food! Inside atmosphere is very relaxing, and they can't help that they have to be located in a strip mall--that's all Houston is, just one giant strip mall. Authentic NY food, heavy ingredients, crisp crust, very filling. It's like an oasis in the middle of countless Olive Garden's and generic home country buffet places. In fact, I would be willing to bet my next pay check that it's the only non-franchise place to get pizza within 50 miles.
