User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have never had anything but great service at Samurai. I do admit that without a reservation its tough getting in but you can make one on the same day you are going. Sashimi is best in town and much bigger cuts than Kyoto. I will have to check on the gratuity issue a earlier reviewer posted about next time I go.

I went to Samuri Friday night with my mother and it was Great!!! The waitress was really polite and the food was FRIGGIN GREAT!!!!!! We will so be coming back thankyou!!!!
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsPlease consider talking to your hostess (the one who was working last night, Wednesday 8/5/09) about how rude and dismissive she is. My family and I came to your restaurant before 6 pm and there were maybe 4 tables occupied. We stood there forever while she scanned the blank pages on her book. Never once did she look up to say "just a moment while I figure out where to seat you" Nothing! It's like she was just waiting for us to get annoyed and leave. So that's what we did. When I told her nevermind we will go somewhere else. She slyly said "ok." We had a 2.5 year old with us so maybe your restaurant doesn't want kids. If that's the case you should put a sign on the door saying so. Don't treat good paying customers like an inconvenience. We went on to Ronin where we had a fantastic experience and a bill of over $100.
