This is the WORST restaurant I have EVER set in foot in. Me and my family went there the 4th of July, the service was TERRIBLE, the food looked like something I would serve my dog...actually I wouldn't serve it to my dog, the sausage and chicken jumo-something was dry and the wings were more like fried splinters. It took us forever to get waited on. When we went to walk out and voiced our disappointment the owner and staff were rude, hateful and not apologetic nor trying to make us happy. They actually had the nerve to defend the tiny wings with "they weren't pumped up with steriods". I will make sure to tell everyone I know how this place sux BIG TIME...don't waste your money at this dive!
Ji Bou Te is one of my favorite restaurants, because the food is frankly wonderful. Their blackened chicken is always juicy and full of flavor, and the dirty rice is love at first bite. Don't forget the gator bites- they are a meal in itself! The owner is a wonderful woman who takes time to actually talk to patrons, and she puts a lot of effort into her food. I would go weekly to Ji Bou Te, if I lived closer, but every chance I get, I visit, and I never have regrets.
Typically, I'm really critical whenever I see Cajun and Blackened together. It usually means burnt :) Ji Bou Te definitely knows the difference. The Louisiana culture and atmosphere shines through time you enter the door. The owners were extremely gracious and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant to any Louisiana transplants looking for authentic cajun food or if you love good food in general. It's close to Marietta Square and Kennesaw. Be on alert or you may miss it. It's in a shopping center, on the end. The blackened chicken poboy is to die for!!
