Primavera Pizza

First let me state that for the first 46 years of my life I lived in NY and NJ, and needless to say brought up on great pizza. Unfortunately 8 years ago I had to relocate to Ohio due to work, and second only to missing the ocean and fishing, is great food (especially pizza and seafood). We come back to Long Island for 2 weeks of vacation (fishing and eating) each year - preferably Montauk, and frequent many pizzerias during our stays. I'm not sure when Primavera opened, or why we hadn't frequented their establishment, but we did on this trip, and let me tell you that we're glad we did (and did alot). Primavera is hands down the best pizza in Montauk, and dare I say some of the best on LI period. I know, some readers will think my 8 years in Ohio softened my food judgement, but Primavera is fantastic. When you enter the shop, the first thing that hits your senses are the wonderful aromas (oh how I miss that) and second how spotlessly clean the owners keep the establishment. Besides traditional pizza we had white pizza, strombolis, heros, etc. Everything was fresh and consistently delicious. My family and I kept going back for more. While I don't want to do a disservice to the other pizza establishments in Montauk, I can categorically state that Primavera is Montauk's best (and better than most others on Long Island). Mangia!
