Let's see. I asked for a cold glass with my beer. The waitress brings a hot glass that just came out of the dishwasher and placed it in the table with her fingers all over the rim of the glass. She was old, unkept, and sick (nose was runny, eyes glazed, etc..) Yuck! We ordered a split of Champagne (Moet Chandon Brut). She didn't present the bottle first. She cracked it open like we were at Dennys. iI turned out to be a Rose'. She was clueless. The champagne glasses were also warm. I went to the bar to get a cold beer glass. The trashy 21 year old female bartender with an attitude informed me that of course the glasses are warm - "They just came out of the dishwaher sir!" OK? lol ...umm.. I asked if I could please have a cold glass. She was clearly irritated at this point. She reached into a cooler and hastidly pulled out a cold pint glass. I felt obliged to appologize to her. No manager ever asked how things were. I think there was a 20 something year old kid walking around with his tie and moused haircut who appeared to be a manager. You would never know though. The food was prepared fine. Though, it was served "diner style". The top the evening off- my wife made a pit stop in their rather elegant bathroom. Granite countertops, etc.. You get the picture! However, no toilet paper or towels to dry your hands with! This place is a joke! Stay far far away from this location, especially if you have dined at othe M and S's in the past.
The food here is excellent, but it should be for the price of the meals. A 6 oz.Filet is $30 and the Halibut is $32. Overall service is good.
The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is that our server was trying too hard to get us to order the most expensive meals on the menu. He also would not give up on selling us on desert when we initially declined.
Don't come here expecting to pay less than $100 for 2 people.
Restaurant is perfectly situated with a pond over looking the outside sitting area on the east end with a firepit lit that makes the setting the more inviting. Perfect romantic date night out restaurant to go to. Food is very good, decent wine list all priced as expected. Make sure to order desert. Over all atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and cozzy. I absolutely recommend this restaurant specially for seafood lovers.
