Good bar-b-que at a reasonable price. Personally, I would rate it tops in town, and that includes the overpriced place on Bethel. The owner is an intelligent conversationalist, well-informed about current events. It's a very comfortable, relaxing atmosphere.

My experience at Ben and Al's was great. The food was great. The brisket was moist and had a good smoked taste. The ribs were my best. I couldn't decide on my sides because it all looked good. I would recommend this location to all of my friends. If you want a good barbeque place with flavor this is the place to go to.

Not a good experience. The brisket was a little on the dry side and had basically no flavor from seasonings on it and was not wood smoked nor did it contain the bottled smoke flavor either. The gentleman who was there waiting on people was not the one who should have been on the front end. After hearing him tell 2 ladies who asked if he had lettuce and tomatoes for the sandwich they were getting ready to order, "Do you see lettuce and tomatoes up there" (referring to the overhead board with the menu on it), I almost got up and left, they did leave. The veggies they have to choose from did not have a pleasant presentation to them at all and left you lacking the desire for them. Overall the experience there was one that would make me not want to go back but I like to give a place a second chance just in case I caught them on a bad day. Good luck to any who decide to try it, hopefully your experience will be better than mine was.
