Cinnamon Fern Chalet

A Place for All Seasons

I’ve been at Cinnamon Fern since August 2006 five times and have had a chance to experience hiking, pond fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and biking at locations near-by the chalet. The chalet is spacious, with two large bedrooms on the lower level and a master suite on the third level. Six folks comprised our largest group.

On the second level, the open space of a “living room-like” area there is a kitchen, and a dining area that are comfortable, especially on cool nights with the fireplace roaring. The sitting and eating areas provide a view of trees and depending on the season, there is full foliage, or changing leaves, or a clear view of a vast horizon.

All the rooms can be reached conveniently. For example, the two bedrooms on the first level have front exterior entrances. On the second level in the rear, you can enter a room to drop off your boots, coats and other gear.

The porch that wraps around three sides provides ample space for sitting outside, and on one area there is a whirlpool that’s available in all types of weather. There are lots of amenities like tv’s and books and videos. There is also Wi-Fi for those of us who “need” to stay connected.

All the appliances, like stoves and refrigerators and coffee makers, are clean and operational and there are sufficient dishes. There are a couple of supermarkets close by and several local restaurants.

So Cinnamon Fern provides an excellent place to be active or to be peaceful -- for active or a peaceful get-away.
