Lowe's of N Bentonville, AR

I cannot speak highly enough of the lawn and garden and appliance associates. I have regularly purchased my high dollar items (2 sheds, washing machine, flooring, rugs, refrigerator, 2 hot water heaters, faucets, lumber, hardware, curtains, etc…) through Lowes and several at the Bentonville, AR facility. That said, I recently went in to purchase another appliance and I was needing to repair the flooring of my home to set the heavy appliance on. I went to the lumber department of the Bentonville, AR facility… I was basically ignored by all that walked by on the floor (unlike in ALL the other departments where their employees ask if you need help or greet you). I was in lumber for almost an hour (could have been a full hour but I want to be fair and just say 45 minutes). That said, I walked around searching for what I needed. I finally got in line to be waited on to receive the help I needed. I waited while a gentleman (carpenter) in front me talked to the clerk about his items and he went to the other line to pay for them. While I was standing in line waiting for the employee to wait on me he decided to ask the gentleman that he had just waited on where he was working and what he was doing for the day. I stood waiting for the conversation to end and asked if he was ready for me yet. I was becoming a bit annoyed but kept my bearings in check. He helped me find part of what I needed but he must not have heard me or just ignored me when I said I needed something else and he went back to his front desk. I went to search for what I needed on my own once again. I found it -but it would need to be cut down. When I asked him about it he hemmed and hawed and acted insulted and not one bit interested.

I ended up going to ACE and will continue to go to ACE for any lumber supplies in the future. In fact, I will check with them on all my appliances FIRST before going back to LOWES. This is the ONLY facility that I have ever encountered this unprofessional behavior at. I’ve gone to the one in Rogers, AR and the one in Neosho, MO and purchased items through them and NEVER was ignored or treated in that fashion.

Again, this was only in the LUMBER department of LOWES in Bentonville, AR. And that is why I give this store a very poor rating. The lack of interest to customer service was pathetic and unprofessional (and I’m a very patient person and ignore a lot nonsense as a whole). You would think that someone else was managing the lumber department because it was so different than any other part of their store or any other lumber department of other Lowes stores that I have visited.

My husband and I built a house in 2007, so therefore I spent a lot of time at Lowe's, so much in fact, that most of the associates knew my first name and greeted me all over the store. The people at this store are absolutely the best. Keep up the good work guys.
