Great job for his customers, but not so much for his employees. Worked with him on a few jobs and he stiffed me $600.00. Jay lied and said that he hadn't gotten paid for one of the jobs that we did and then when I went to finish the clean up I talk to the individual that we did the tree work for about our pay, since I was told by Jay that he hadn't gotten paid for that particular job, only to find out that he had gotten paid that same day we did the job. I have a large family to feed and when I asked him for my cut he told me that his personal bills, non work related, had to come first. Now it has always been my assumption that an employer takes care of his employees before he does himself, but I guess that I was wrong. Even when I told him that I didn't have enough money to keep food on my kids plates he responded by saying that he had a phone bill to pay sorry, would pay when he could...that was a couple months ago and still not a cent nor a word from him, and my family is still struggling to make ends meet even with both myself and wife working full time jobs. So yeah maybe he does a good job, but how could anyone support a business that treats it employees like dirt and himself like the only one that matters. Jay is a liar and a thief!! You try and tell your kids sorry no lunch today, or sorry can't watch T.V., we couldn't afford to pay the electric bill, or sorry no we can't take you to the park can't afford to put extra gas in the car. The money he owes me could have really helped us out, but no his bills were more important than mine. He lost a good employee, especially since I have 5 years experience in this line of work to his, well, not even one year. Thanks Jay for nothing glad I could work for free for you while my kids sit home wondering what meal they will eat next.
