About:Fate is a restaurant specializing in Asian fusion, although leaning heavily towards Chinese. When you enter here, you'd be pleasantly surprised at the urban jungle atmosphere and art on the walls. What you can expect here are great tasting meals for a very decent price. Choose from plenty of options like the chow fun, crab puffs or go with the regular schezwan cuisine. They have a large choice of vegetarian dishes including soup and mixed greens, making sure the vegetarians don't go hungry. There are fun and creative drinks available here as well.

When you go out for to a restaurant there are many factors that decide just how much you will enjoy the dining experience but of course, most importantly, is the cuisine.

Atmosphere: Right off the bat, I will say the music at Fate 905 LLC is terrific. There seems to be a nice mixture of people as well, everything from the uptight to the very young and enthusiastic. I'm dissapointed to say - this is one of the few things this restaurant has going for it. Upon arrival and seating I was disappointed. The "tables" are nothing more than card tables with tablecloths thrown on them. The seats, lawn chairs. Not exactly what one would expect from a fine dining establishment. When you get to prices on the food and drinks you would expect more, really.

Food: Unfortunately the food is exactly where Fate 905 falls flat. Our appetizers arrived: crab puffs and pot stickers. Pot stickers and crab puffs are totally different food items yet they came out to our table and we could not tell which was which. The pot stickers were mediocre and the crab puffs were bland. Suprising when you consider it is difficult to not make a good crab puff. When our entrees arrived we fared no better. I ordered Xao Big Fun - Starchy, as if the noodles hadn't been drained properly prior to being servied. Fatty pieces of beef, no taste that was outstanding and poor presentation. It looked as if it had been slopped on a plate and a sprig of cilantro thrown on it as an afterthought. One of my dining companions ordered a lemongrass plate which consisted almost entirely of undercooked ramen noodles. Crunchy ramen noodles is not the way to impress with your cuisine. Last item - Fried rice. Our waitress told us that the fried rice was excellent and that it was the best item on the menu with the fresh broccoli and snow peas and fantastic flavor. The rice came out and there were no vegetables. None. The rice was still white and lumpy and for being beef fried rice, there was no beef. In asian cuisine, fried rice is the indicator as to how much effort and skill the chef is capable of and put into your meal. This was unacceptable and shockingly bad. I understand this is asian fusion but it seems they infused their asian food with something below mediocre.

Drinks: 2 weak martinis and 1 weak vodka on the rocks. 15 dollars a piece. 45 dollars in drinks and here we are sitting on lawn chairs at card tables.

I had been excited to eat here after all I had heard and what a shocker to find out it's a total dud. I read the good reviews on here and they all suspiciously have the same tone and they all have the same good things to say. Either these people have a deep seeded love for sub-par dining or they are employees. There are many better alternatives for dining out than Fuse 905.
