The Absolute Worst Cut and Color I've ever had, Poor Customer Service. A very upsetting experience.
Please be careful what you believe when you read. I did believe these reviews on this site and made my decision to go to this salon based on these reviews. After my experience...i seriously, seriously doubt their validity....I wish I would have researched further. This stylist did not listen to what I asked for but instead talked the entire time about what a good stylist he was.
About a year ago, a had a color incident that caused alot of damage to my hair. My stylist was local to the Winchester area. The stylists new assistant left the color on too long. My hair was very damaged. I decided that I needed special attention and for a year I traveled an hour to Northern VA every 5 weeks to a salon that is repeatedly recognized in the Washingtonian as "best hair salon for color." The stylist there did a great job at getting me a nice, flattering color and saving my hair. I was happy w/ her work, but since I work alot, I really wanted to find someplace closer to save the 2 hours travel time on the road.
I tried Studio 915 salon..basically going there to continue w/ the color I had and to trim the ends. I ended up w/ an unflattering, flat color (the bottom much darker than the top) way darker than I had and wanted...and I got layering that I did not want and MUCH more (Several inches) taken off than I wanted. I have naturally curly hair, so much was taken off I can't get the curl I normally have. It looked like someone sat a bowl on top of my head and cut the top layer. They top layer is much shorter than the rest of my hair and does not blend at all.
I requested my money back for the service I received(This is the first time I have ever done this at a hair salon) because I was so disappointed. I did not receive a refund or any interest in trying to correct the bad experience (I did not want to return to the salon at that point since enough damage was done)except an email stating that the color I was complaining about (the color I left the salon with) was due to the detergents I put on at home after my visit (which did not change the color in any since I left the salon) and wishing me luck at my next stylist. No mention for my request for refund was addressed.
I returned to my previous salon realizing after my bad experience at Studio915 that the drive was well worth it and she got the color looking much better...as for the layers...the only thing I can do is wait for them to grow out.
Update: 2 1/2 months after my cut, that top layer still looks horrible and has not yet grown enough to blend w/ the rest of my hair.
Update: almost 4 months after the cut and still struggling. So much length was taken off the top and additional layering (that I didn't want) I am even still unable to at least put it back in a ponytail like I was able to for a bad hair day.
As far as the stylists comment below "make no warranties that repeated damage can be corrected in one visit".....I never expected any damage to my hair to be corrected in one visit. I simply asked for the same shade I had and to have my ends TRIMMED.
Scott did a wonderful job choosing a color and cut that was right for me. Also my hair felt really soft afterwards. I'll be going back soon!
Scott has worked on my hair and all 3 of my girls (ages 13-18). He gives an excellent haircut and all of us really like his style and judgement. I have not had color from him, but I've seen others leaving the salon including someone who was getting corrective color done and the work looked fabulous. Give him a try - you won't regret it.

Unfortunately this client came to us with severely damaged hair and elected not to continue with our treatment plan, despite phone consultations and email response to her concerns. We make no warranties that repeated damage can be corrected in one visit.
