My laptop went on the blink on a Friday afternoon, and I really needed it to create several reports, etc, over the weekend, in preparation for meetings the following Monday. To make matters worse, I hadn't performed a data backup in approximately 8 months; therefore, much important information was now effectively inaccessible, if not permanently lost, within my laptop. What's more, my laptop contained an abundance of personal information associated with me and my family.
Suddenly, I was faced with the unexpected quandary of finding a reputable computer repair center on a Friday afternoon that could repair my laptop quickly. An acquaintance recommended Pioneer Techs.
I walked into Pioneer Techs' office carrying my laptop, all the while analyzing the establishment for indications of trustworthiness, etc. I wasn't about to leave what was essentially my electronic lockbox with people I didn't know, unless I sensed credibility. (I like to think that during my more than 50 years of life, I have developed the ability to read people/places, quickly.) The folks at Pioneer Techs put me at ease, and I never doubted that my laptop was in good hands after I left the establishment.
The next day, Saturday afternoon, I received a call from Pioneer Techs. My laptop had been repaired without any loss of data.
I'm using my laptop at this moment to write this review. It works great...much faster now! I certainly appreciate Pioneer Techs' prompt and professional service.
I learned two important things from my laptop's failure:
1. Knowing where a reputable computer repair center is located is almost as important as having access to a reputable physician when required. (Your computer will eventually fail, often at an inopportune time and when you least expect it.)
2. Perform file backups regularly. If it is important, save it on your computer's hard drive and also on an external memory storage device. Don't tarry! (Your computer will eventually fail, often at an inopportune time and when you least expect it.)
I found this place through Yahoo and saw the great reviews. I stopped by yesterday afternoon, got my laptop diagnosed and it was fixed the same day. I am grateful and fully appreciate the work these guys do! If you have any computer problems, this is definitely the place to go! THANK YOU! :)
I was in search of information on two 10 year old Gateway Computers. I left a message to get some tech help as I just was not sure if the computers were worth fixing. I ordered Memory for both computers, one XP Program and a hard drive. I really had know idea what I was doing. I got a call from Diorge with Pioneer Tech and told him waht I was doing. He told me the old systems were not worth the money to fix and to send the parts back. He told me the processors and mother boards were not up to standards and could fail. Also the Memory (SD) was old memory and it was not really enough with 512 MB to run XP efficiently.
This was great advice as I spent almost $340.00 in parts that very well could have been a huge waste. The parts had not been shipped and I was refunded my money.
I can purchase my grandson a computer for another hundred dollars that will work for him. I am happy I contacted Pioneer Techs and more likely then not make a trip to see them about a computer for my grandson. Thanks Diorge you were a great help and very honest. It is a good way to run your business as someone else could have taken me for a ride. Mike from Missouri City
