Zinc Spa

I recently has a spa party for my daughter's 21st birthday at Zinc Spa. It was a WONDERFUL experience. There were 10 of us and each was treated with excellent service and the staff could not have been more accommodating. It was just great. We each had a mani/pedi-all were extremely pleased with the results. We were able to bring in lunch and drinks and it was such a relaxing fun afternoon. A wonderful way to celebrate together while receiving incredible pampering. I would highly recommend Zinc Spa for your event.

My friend and I planned to have a spa day for months. We booked a "Tips and Toes" Spa mani/pedi and for myself a head and neck massage. The nail techs were very nice, but my toenails came out terribly crooked and my fingernails began peeing that same day, not to mention she didn't touch my cuticles and they looked terrible. Then I asked to have my head/neck massage which was scheduled for 11:15 and no one knew what I was talking about. Finally a woman came over to me and said she'd check. I was not on their books. I was cordial and said that it was fine and I'd just reschedule for another time, but the owner/manager had the audacity to come over to me at the nail bar and say "I told you on the phone we had no time for you" I told her that she had made the appointment for 11:15, but that it was okay, and she continued to say it again, that I was wrong. Honestly, after looking forward to this for so long...I know I made that appointment and didn't appreciate that kind of customer service. The place was very nice and clean, and like I said the nail techs were lovely.... but the mani/pedi itself and the manager/owner's attitude rubbed me the wrong way. I'll stick with my hole in the wall nail joint from now on.

I am the owner responding to this unfair review. I remember this so clearly! This young lady and her girl friend booked the Mani Pedi each. This client, Angela, had requested a Hand, Neck and shoulder massage, which I initially booked, but immediately realized that even though we had the staff to do the service, we did not have a treatment room open for the treatment. I had called her within 15 minutes of booking the appointment, to let her know we could not accomodate the massage. I am not sure if she forgot about our phone call?? When she came in on the 14th, I reminded her about the error, and it seemed as though it was fine...I guess not, though. From a spa owners point of view, if I could accomodate a service, I would! Infact, we even opened 30 minutes early to accomodate her and her friend. All I can say is that we try our very best to make all our clients happy, and I am indeed very sorry we failed in this case. As far as the nail service.....we are well known for the great pedicures we give. Our polish lasts very long because we use great products. I am not sure why her polish chipped on the same day (this is a first for us!) guess this was just "not meant to be"! Hopefully she will have better luck in the future in a "hole is the wall nail joint".

This is Karen, and I am the service technician who worked on this client. This review comes as a shock, because the client and her friend, both left so happy with their services. She even said that this is the best her nails have ever looked. She and her friend also said they would be back. The review is a complete surprise to me. I wish she had contacted the spa before leaving a negative review, to give us an opportunity to rectify her nails. I have worked at Zinc Spa since it opened in October 2007. The owner is very particular about customer service and satisfaction. We have a great customer base, which is continually growing, despite this economy, primarily because we take pride in our service and customer satisfaction. We would have very easily given the client a free service. I just wish she had given us the opportunity.

Where else can you get pampered around here AND have a nice glass of wine too? Only Here! Not only that but where else can you get a SPA manicure and a SPA pedicure for only $55! It lasts about 2-2 1/2 hours...AMAZING!

Plus I really enjoy their philosophy of natural nail care and moving away from the tacky acryclic nail shops that are on every corner. This place is a real gem! :)
