I used to go to this restaurant when it was located in Loudonville, and eagerly followed it to Wooster. Excellent food, good service, superior artisan breads. But the best thing of all is their chocolate custard. To die for! At its new location the decor is a little more formal, very pleasant, but still down-to-earth friendly atmosphere, even though it's bigger than the original place. Well worth a trip to Wooster for an exceptional meal.
Just been to Broken Rocks and had not only excellent service, but an equally tasty main dish and even better dessert! The menu is just the right size so as not to overwhelm with choice, ensuring each dish is prepared to perfection in the open kitchen. Love the atmosphere as well. This is just what Wooster needs rather than the samey samey chain restaurants that could be Anywhere, USA.
Pay no attention to "Food Guy's" review - he's gone as far as reviewing Taco Bell and Starbucks. And no, I'm not related to the owners or any of the staff.
I've never written a review before but felt compelled after reading Food Guy's review - does he work for Panerra maybe? Broken Rocks is excellent in all aspects, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the owners are charming, and the food is outstanding - the prices more than fair. I'd much prefer a carefully selected wine list to restaurants touting 75 wines by the glass - exactly how long have some of those bottles been open? Food Guy is way off - this place is definitely worth visiting multiple times. I have and have not been disappointed at all.
