attended a birthday party here lst week and thought the food was great. it was catered 'family style' so i was able to sample many dishes. the wings were great along with the roasted potatoes and baked chicken. i was too full to sample the rice and beans and other meat and fish dishes but everyone was commenting on how much they enjoyed their appetizers and meal. our server was very accomodating as we were a large party of approx 25. well done!
oh and forgot to add, the warm bread and salad was delish! not sure what dressing was on the salad, never tasted that one before but i totally loved it
My experience at Metric was a NIGHTMARE! Two friends and myself went there for dinner and I found a long strand of hair in my food. The waitress finally came to ask if our food was fine and I told her I found a hair and gave her the plate as I said to bring me another one. A few seconds sitting there I felt disgusted and lost my appetite. I waited for the waitress to come back to tell her I donât want it but she took too long so I called over the bartender. Well the bartender told me it was too late it was being made, and thinking to myself how would she know that, I told her that I donât want it. At that moment the waitress came back and I told her the same thing. She went back to the kitchen and to my surprise brought the plate to me. I refused it, so she took it back. The chef had the audacity to come at me with a bad attitude. I had to explain myself three time to three different people as if it were my fault. I received no apology, no what else would you like, NOTHING! To top it off the tried to make me pay for it! This restaurant has horrible customer service. I will never set foot in that place ever again. I do not recommend it. My money is better spent at a cheap fast food joint.
Metric is quite the hot spot. From the very first time I visited earlier this year, it was and still remains to be at the top of the list. From the appetizers to the desserts, the extended menu is inviting. The service is outstanding. The owner, Pierre and wife, are quite the hosts as they greet each guest with a friendly "hello". This same hospitality is shown from members of their staff with every visit. I was returning from a concert late one Saturday evening and stopped by Metric whose kitchen was closed, considering it was almost 1:00 a.m. When I asked Pierre if it was too late to order their infamous wings he responded "yes, but give me a few minutes". Within 20 minutes, he returned with a plate of whiting fish that he was in the process of cooking for himself and made some for me - talk about customer service. As parking may be limited on Cannon Street, don't despair - the total experience at Metric is well worth the walk from any street in the downtown Bpt. area.
