This is East Texas, and opening a seafood restaurant is a brave and unusual thing to do. I've been there 3-4 times now. The menu is unusual in that it shows some Cajun influence and some oriental influence as well. The crab cakes taste okay, although there's not much crab in them. The calamari was very good. Fried oysters were good, but a little bland and overcooked. The gumbo doesn't have much of a real gumbo flavor to it, because it doesn't have a real roux taste, but as a seafood stew, it's pretty good on a cold day. I'd give them another star if you could get a cold beer with your seafood.
A complete surprise, this little hole in the wall place has as good seafood as you will ever eat and the service is good too. The fried fish and scallops are top notch!
