| About: | Bikes, Beans & Bordeaux is known as "B3" to the regulars. It's run by a central Florida couple who care very much about health, bicycles, the community, the environmentand good bottles of wine. B3 is a welcoming neighborhood cafe that is both a wine bar and coffeehouse. The menu consists of a variety of fresh organic, vegetarian and low-fat selections for breakfast, lunch or light evening meals. The atmosphere is trendy yet causal and resembles a friendly cafe with bicycle art on the walls and on television too. Bikes, Beans & Bordeaux has separate wine and beer lists, special events and community activities. - Diane Dilov-Schultheis |

What an interesting little place. I went because of their many vegetarian offerings. The hummus was very tasty and came with a lot of veggies which we appreciated. My friends enjoyed the Olive plate. I liked the feta on it very much. We ordered flatbread with ham on only 1/2 of it. It came out with ham all over it. Not a big deal except for yours truly being vegetarian. The Vegan Black Bean soup was wonderful, but I wondered why it was served with Dairy; sour cream and cheese? It would be so easy to use a vegan version of sour cream and cheese. Sorry, folks, but vegan and dairy are exclusive of each other. My sandwich was the current special and was filled with wonderful fresh vegetables and served on a seeded multigrain bread. I loved it. We were given a very generous sample of their nuttella (sp?) panini. It was absolutely fabulous! I loved the red sangria with organic fruit. It was missing the blood orange mentioned on the menu, but was still very good. The portion sizes were bountiful; we brought home enough food for at least one more meal. The service here was outstanding except for one point; the requirement that we order at the counter. I MUCH prefer table service and will often choose a place that offers service rather than counter ordering. This is a very friendly neighborhood restaurant and will definitely find its way into our regular rotation.
