I absolutely love this place. The pizza is the best I've ever had in Florida. The Philly cheese Steaks are the best outside of Philly. I have never had any problems with service. The place is clean and always smells like good Italian cooking. They deliver too, which is sweet. I highly recommend it to everyone.
When I arrived there were 3 servers working and about 10 tables occupied total. I waited over 5 minutes to get acknowledged and almost another 5 minutes to get seated while they got the table together. The restaurant was barely half full.
During my visit tables started to leave but, no new ones came in.
I ordered the eggplant parmesan. It came with spaghetti, bread, and one trip to the salad bar which cost a little over $10.00. The server gave me a small bowl for the salad bar. The items on the salad bar were limited to one kind of lettuce, about 7 toppings, cheese, 2 dressings and croutons. The containers of items were either almost empty with about a spoonful left or completely empty.
As I was waiting for my order there were only 5 tables left. I waited over 20 minutes for my eggplant parmesan. I thought it was flavorful but, greasy. I also thought that the spaghetti that came with it was decent but, it had a taste that almost tasted like a chemical to it. The portions were large and the eggplant parmesan had plenty of cheese on it which I like.
I was a little bit more then halfway done with my meal when my server finally checked on me. At this time there were only three tables left. The server did not return until it was time to give me my bill. They did however promptly process my check.
I felt like for 3 servers and only 10 tables that were occupied the service was very unorganized. The servers had tables scattered across the restaurant instead of in one section where they could look after their tables easier. I watched as one server dropped something off at a table. They looked like they had threw the item at the table then they ran off. They did not take the extra second to ask if they needed anything else and instead took off.
Although I am not offended by cussing I thought it was unprofessional when a server yelled a curse word across two tables.
If you are in absolutely no hurry and service is not a big issue for you then you probably wonât mind this restaurant. However, based on this first visit I donât think I will be returning. The food was good but, not exceptional, the prices were reasonable but, the staff did not appear like they cared or were professional.
Closest thing you're going to get to NY pizza around here. Great, fresh toppings, nice crust, and decent lunch buffet. A cool place to eat and hang out in an area seriously devoid of cool places to eat and hang out.
