Re: Dodge Sprinter
On Friday, June 19, 2009, I received a call from Chrysler Dodge Jeep City (4395 Rt. 130 Burlington, N.J) informing me that my Dodge Sprinter was serviced and ready for pick up. I went to pick up the vehicle on Monday, June 22, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. When the vehicle was started, the check engine light came back on. My co-worker and I proceeded to look underneath the hood. We noticed that our hose was severely cracked and the screws were missing from the area that was serviced on the vehicle.
I walked back inside and asked if someone from service could come outside and take a look at what we had observed. The service representative informed the technician who worked on the vehicle and they both came out to look at it. I asked the technician why was the hose cracked and why was it not on the invoice to repair. He replied, âWe didnât have the part in stock.â When I asked why were the screws missing, he responded, âThey were there when I did it.â I responded, âWell where are they now?â He simply stated, âI donât know.â
They asked if I would like to leave the vehicle there with them again. I declined the offer. I went back inside and asked the service advisor if I could speak with the Service and Parts Director, William Belle (Bill) or to the General Salse Manager, Mauricio Mier (Mark). As I explained the situation to the service advisor, he became very argumentative. I asked him for his name and the name of the technician who serviced the vehicle. They wore no name badges. He refused to give me his name or the technicianâs name. As I tried to speak the service advisor kept interrupting me, asking me why do I keep bringing my vehicles there if they donât fix them right. I told him that I was told by Bill Belle to bring it back so that it could be serviced properly this time because they did not service it the first time it was here and it broke down when I tried to pick it up.
I then asked, âNow can I speak with Bill Belle?â The service advisor finally relayed the message to Bill. Bill then called me into his office. I thought were where going to discuss replacing the cracked hose and the missing screws. Instead Bill Belle stated, âWhy is a lawyer calling me and asking me for all my invoices? You need to take your vehicles somewhere else. I replied, âSo, you no longer want to service our vehicle?â Bill Bell responded, âNo.â I left the establishment after I was told to take my vehicles some place else and that Chrysler Dodge Jeep City (Burlington N.J.) was no longer willing to service our vehicles.
Mr. Bell didnât even mention anything about the condition of the vehicle that was not properly serviced. He made no reference to replace the severely cracked hose or replacing the missing screws that his technician misplaced. He was not interested in doing the honorable thing and rectifying the situation. Customer service was not the topic of our discussion. He was only concerned with why a lawyer was requesting that he submit invoices.
