We ate three meals here in late February 2008. The menu was pretty limited, consisting of typical breakfast offerings, sandwiches and hamburgers, and four "Ethnic Navajo" offerings, each of which came with Navajo fry bread. The food was well prepared. I had the beef stew and fry bread, and while I found the stew rather bland and more of a soup than a stew, the fry bread, though very high calorie, was extremely delicious, especially dipped in the stew or with honey on it.
My son had a typical grilled cheese sandwich with an enormous pile of french fries that was cooked a bit more than we like, but were tasty. The breakfast was good also.
The best thing about this place, however is the location perched right over the edge of a 50 foot sheer rock wall of the San Juan River canyon. If you get the seats on the canyon side, you can look out at the beautiful canyon walls and running river as you eat.
The staff of the restaurant, all of whom seem to be Navajo, were friendly.
I recommend this place for a meal on the way through Mexican Hat, while visiting the many incredible natural sites in the area of Mexican Hat.
