User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsTerrible! Terrible! Terrible! Plain Rude.....I called for service on an old stove that I have in my apartment which I inherited from my mother in law. I explained that the stove doesn't work and the man wanted to know if I had lit the pilot lights. He then went on to say that I may not need his services at all. When I thanked him and told him that I wouldn't be calling if I didn't need my stove repaired, he told me I was being rude. Just outrageous! He's supposed to be the repairman, not me!

Pete from the Father and Son Appliance Repair came very fast on Sunday when most companies refused to come. He found the problem for 1 hour and said that it would cost $180 to replace the heat. However, he likes what he is doing, I think and tried to fix this heat by himself and he did it! WE should not have spent $180 to a buy a new heat! He is honest and work very professionally! Pete also explained all problemes briefly and clear and we can understood that he did not want to make us fool!
I can highly recommend him! Thank you for the great job!Comments (1)

The defrost heater would not come on to melt the ice. I called my parts guy and he wanted a lot of money for the heater. I changed the defrost heater thermostat and it still would not come on. I then found a type of fuse that only that kind of fridge has. I put the new fuse in and saved him a lot of money. -

I'd like to recommend Pete from Father & Son Appliance Repair to anyone looking for very professional, personable, knowledgeable service at a reasonable rate. The broken freon tube in my refrigerator was repaired within a few hours of calling. Pete took the time to make sure the job was done well, explained the ins and outs of the refrigerator repair, and seemed happy to answer any questions I had. A great experience overall.

She never thanked me, she got mad at me when i told her that the pilot light was out and said i think its a lot more then that i can tell when the stove is broke and hung up on me. I called her back and she would not let me get a word in.I was just trying to save her some money. She said you must not need the work and hung up again.She told me she just got the stove so i just wanted to help. I was going to tell her how to light the pilot. I was told that i was the repair man and thats what i get paid for why should she have to do anything. I don't get it i was just trying to save her a few bucks.All she had to say was i don't think i can do it can you come over.
I did get mad, the man was rude. He is telling me that my pilot lights were probably out and asked if I knew how to light them. To all women out there who have called for service on an appliance and having a man ask you if you know how to get the stove working. I don't claim to know everything, I need my stove fixed before the holidays. This stove is over 50 years old! Almost as old as me, and this young gun acted like I was bothering him. I have a proposition for this young man, he needs to come over fix my stove and not give me aggrevation for it. I'm frustrated because my house is completely torn apart...trying to renovate and having to deal with old outdated appliances. And I'm not from Brooklyn, New York.
