User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI went in because I had an oil change coupon and didn't feel like doing it myself. They tried to sell me over $1,000 worth of crap I know I don't need. One of those parts was my valve cover gasket. They pointed to the tiny (normal) amount of oil under it and said I probably haven't noticed it leaking or burning oil. My Hyundai is 10 years old, and the thing that amazes me is that it doesn't burn or leak ANY oil as cars its age normally do.
I spoke to a friend who also went to Brake Max, and they tried to sell him a brake fluid flush because his brake fluid had become corrosive! That's like flushing out your antifreeze because it's toxic, or your gas because it's flammable, or your oil because it's slippery... Ridiculous.
