D & L Barbecue

I stopped by to try their ribs as take out. I have been searching for the ultimate ribs. Mine were pork - not sure if baby back. Meaty and tender. The flavor was sweet and I was caught off guard because I didn't expect they would taste this good.

I must tell you that this is one of the best BBQ restaurants we have ever been in, and we've been in MANY throughout the U.S. Until now, I always though of a small, obscure BBQ place outside of Dallas, (had a meal there over 30 years ago, and I still remember it), as the best I've ever had, but D&L is even better...and close by to boot!

I love baby back ribs and the slow 12 hours of slow steaming that D&L does, has the meat as tender as possible, falling off the bones and melting in your mouth. My better half has had ribs, fish and chicken, all of which really hit the bulls-eye!

Add to that the fact that D&L is a BYOB, so there's no sticker shock when the bill comes and you've got a wonderful dinner evening out!

Definitely a 5 star rating!

The food at D&L is consistantly good. I had the catfish and my husband had the ribs. You certainly get a lot of food! The bread pudding is an amazing dessert.

They do not have a liquor license and the decor isn't anything to speak of. The food, however, is delicious.
