I LOVE Basilicos. My friend and I try to go in once a week for lunch on Thursday or Friday. The southwest Chicken salad with fried chicken is great. The staff is always friendly and fast. The prices are fair. I tell everyone I can about this place. I work in Winghaven and there aren't too many places to choose from for lunch but lucky for me, I don't have to choose. Keep up the good work!
my wife and i have been coming to Basilicos for over a year and i just had to tell you that the dinner we had last week was excellent. Your food is probably the best we have tasted in St. Charles Co. We eat out a lot and spend a lot of time dining in
St. Louis, on the hill, Clayton, central westend, and your food
would give any of those restaurants a run for HALF the money. We
had a new chicken dish that was incredible, as everything always
is. The talapia is always a great choice when we are in the
mood for fish. We have not tried everything on the menu yet, but
the selection is great and the beef is always a good selection.
Your prices are more than reasonable and the portions are more
than we can usually eat. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our server was absolutely terrible as was the food. The server neglected to ask what salad I wanted and how wanted my steak cooked. I had to ask when she returned to our table. apparently one must specifically state that one wants a salad or one will not get one, even if it supposedly comes with one's meal. She also removed the bread before we had finished with it, without asking. I had their 6 oz. filet. Their "sherry wine sauce" looked like purple sludge. the steak was served on a bed of something slimy and topped with undercooked, crunchy asparagus. The steak itself was squishy and dry. On the menu it says that the steak comes with vegetables, but it does not. I was told it was a typo. The meal came with a loaf of cheap, squishy white bread and our drinks were served in glasses sporting different st. louis team's logos-- something one would not expect, nor want, to find at a nice restaurant. Altogether, it was the worst dining experience I have ever had up to this point. Do not go to Basilicos.

Bryan, one of the owner/manager/cook at Basilicos, met with this table at the time. The asparagus is the vegetable, but a side of broccoli was also provided. The group said they were satisfied at that time. No comment was submitted on the feedback survey provided to each customer. This is definitely an isolated incident. Since August we have received 446 of these customer surveys and Basilicos average rating to date, on a 1-5 system, are: FOOD â 4.64, SERVICE â 4.81, DÃCOR â 4.56, COMFORT â 4.62, and CLEANLINESS â 4.80!!
