User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI have been a customer with National City Bank for quite a few years. They are definitely not your hometown bank anymore. They do not care how many years you have been with them or how you have managed your account. They follow ALL procedures to the letter and will NOT flex or go on a case by case situation. Apparently all NCB employees regardless of position are allowed to help keep customers when a customer has a problem with their account. I deposited a large sum of money into my account to pay for IRS income taxes. They put my deposit on hold immediately and then NSF'ed my IRS check when it came about a week later. Then they charged me a $35 NSF fee even though the deposit WAY covered the check. They would not waive the fee even though I received a letter from them saying I would not be penalized for the deposit being on hold. I give up on them. For $35 it cost them a customer. I'm going to Heartland Bank, a community bank. Stay away from National City Bank if you can.
