Thai Basil

In a word, WOW. Tonight we had perhaps our most enjoyable dining experience to date. This restaurant offers the best Pad Thai I've ever had, with subtle, trendy atmosphere. It's most exceptional characteristic however, was the service. Our server was one of the most pleasant and helpful individuals I've encountered. The manager came by twice to greet us and converse. We've found a true gem.

I cannot begin to express how impressed my party was with the food and service of this fantastic restaurant! The restaurant was just about to close, but they happily let us in before locking up for the night. Our server, Pat, was awesome. We love good company when we eat--it makes the food experience that much better--and Pat did not let us down. He was constantly bringing us over free dishes, "Ice cream for your purple rice pudding--on the house." If you're driving to Portland, it is definitely worth the time to stop off of I-5 and eat at Thai Basil. I had the Pad Thai-- the best Pad Thai I have ever eaten. Mango and sweet rice-perfect. Green curry--also excellent. Pat and his older sister were also gracious enough to draw a map for my Asian wife to find the local Asian markets. Great food, great service, great restaurant!

Great food and great service. We ate their on a Saturday for lunch and it wasn't busy at all. The price was good too. For 3 plates (that all 4 of us shared) was around $35 including drinks.
