I can't complain with IPL treatments I received. My doctor said that IPL is much safer than laser and does not damage the epidermis.

DOn't be fooled by these soo positive reviews. I was caught up in these reviews and damaged my skin. I went for laser hair removal and they burned my face.
The IPL laser which they are using is riskier atleast for my skin type (wheatish - Asian or skin type which gets tan easily). My regular dermatologist told me that this laser has very narrow safety range. wheatish/darker skin and dark hair absorbs more heat and so could burn your skin very easily causing severe damage
