Just had a first experience dining here (24 Feb 10) and was very glad we chose this place over the older restaurant in town. Wasn't aware they were reviewed in the Fredericksburg Times back in 2008 with flying colors. Even my one child was happy with her nachos (very picky) and she asked for a second order to bring home. Last, the deserts were excellent!

i have to say san marcos has been the one and only mexican restaurant that has real mexican food, everybody else is a joke. I travel a lot to mexico and let me tell you that nobody knows or carries speedy gonzales in their menu in mexico. That food is tex mex is not mexican and i don't know why they call themselves mexican restaurant. If you really want to eat good mexican food san marcos is the place is very nice and the owners make you feel like part of their family. The chef is one of a kind he cooks fresh everyday and uses fresh produce. Come and try the difference you'll be very satisfied.
