I have heard many good things about this restaurant and I decided to pop in for lunch last Saturday. I was surprised to see this quaint and friendly restaurant...decorated in a bright and colorful Mardi Gras theme. I sat down at the counter and was greeted by the owner who introduced himself and asked me if I wanted to try samples of his entrees before I ordered. I thought this was great since I have not experienced many cajun dishes before. I tried the Jumbalaya and Gumbo combo and my taste buds were surely delighted! The portion size was great and even had a chance to experience their famous peach cobbler. I would definately recommeded this place and looking forward my next visit!

I have to say this is the best place in Palatine to eat the food is awesome, the owner is a stitch and its just an all around great place to eat, so much flavor and a great amount of food, I have been there 3 times in one week and never had a bad time. To the other reviews The lady who was missing an item when you got home, come on learn to check it before you leave, thats what a smart person would do. To the guy with red beans and rice, come on man, get a real dish does that dish ever have a surplus of flavor, and maybe you should be more worried about eating alone not the food.

wow, so i went there the other day. i sat up at the counter, chatted withe the owner, and had the voodoo chicken. food was great and the owner seemed like a nice guy. i will be back very soon!
