Double Eagle Firearms

If you are into guns, then it is worth a trip down to Ark City. Hey, its just another 10 miles past Dave's old shop so it isn't that big a deal.

Bought a couple of guns from Darren (the owner) He was helpful and friendly. Good inventory of stuff on hand and Darren said he would special order guns or other things.

A very nice shop, and the owner seems like a great guy, with great prices. Good thing I live farther away or he would have all my money. The shop decoration is a bit unique, as I was waiting on my back ground check I noticed the pig head on the wall smoking a cigarette and wearing a chrome spiked helmet. Gave me a chuckle.

Been wandering about,asking questions,handling the guns, checking prices, eveb scrounged a rifle stock for free for my scrap wood pile for the knife handles I make.Folks seem knowlegable and will take the time to answer questions. No cute little femaleshanging around, I did wonder where the coffee pot was, not a chair or a bench for me to get comfy on, some stools that where as comfy as a rock.It is a business and they dont entertain much, though they is kinda funny in a kansas kinda way.

Every time I passed by Winfield I would stop by and see Dave. Last time I was there he said he was retiring and had sold his inventory to Duble Eagle in Ark City. Last week I finally decided to go down to AC and check out the new shop.

Price wise they are close to Dave's (meaning very reasonable). The employees were freindly and helpful and there was a quite a few guns to look at. A bit chaotic as they just opened and seem to still have a few things to sort out.
