I have never filled out a review online before but I just had to regarding Camp Run-A-Mutt. I have a lab, whom as we all know that labs have tons of energy. I work full time and since I don't have a back yard have been taking her to daycare since she was a pup (she is a year and a half now). I have been to 4 places all together and htis is, hands down, the best place I have taken Gracie to. They have people constantly outside with the dogs, whether it is just petting them or throwing the ball--so good for exercise. There is always water and they even have a waterfall where the dogs can cool off, if they get too hot. Gracie literally pulls me inside once she realizes where we are every morning. She is SO happy and I feel at such ease knowing she is in good hands. I had taken her to Metropawlitan Dogs prior, and on the doggy cam, realized they just put the dogs in a large room w/ no personal contact and hardly any water. It is so refreshing to know that there are doggy daycares that actually care more about your dog than money. Totally worth it!!

Camp run-a-mutt is AWESOME! Buddy is exhausted when he gets home and he gets to hang out with his friends all day long. There a lot of room and it's outdoor atmosphere is perfect. I only wish they did overnight stays!

Used them 2 days- first day excellent. 2nd day they neglected to tell us they closed early. dropped of a little after 11 am charged us for full day . $17.50 for extra hour. $30 charge for late pickup-half hour.
Dennis, I hope the extra $60 was worth losing a customer and potential new ones- will never use them again or recommend them.

The couple of times I've taken my dog to Camp Run-a-Mutt there was a list by the register clearly listing the hours and fees including late fees if your dog was picked up after closing hours. The website also states that anything over 4 hours is charged as a full day. Your second day must have been a Saturday and most businesses that I know have shorter hours on Saturdays. If you were charged for a full day and only $30 for the late pick-up fee than Dennis must have giving you a deal. It should have been $40 late pick-up fee for the extra hour. Sorry you were so disappointed. My experience with them has always been wonderful and my dog really loves it there.

Take rsalazar's review with a grain of salt. I took my dog Bindi to camp-run-a-mutt for two months and it was the best experience I've ever had with a doggie day care, not to mention Bindi was always happy and tired at the end of her day. It's just like child day care, if you leave your child there later than closing time, you get charged late fees. It's the way businesses work. They have lives too and shouldn't have to watch your dog for free after closing hours. I recently moved to D.C. and have found a new doggie day care, however it is much more expensive and it's shabby in comparison to Camp-run-a-mutt. Mikel, Dennis, and Severin rock! We miss you guys.
