Overpriced and in need of some southern charm classes.
$5000 buys you a lifetime membership at the Chiquola Club. Unfortunately, they have not been around long enough to acquire the eloquence, exclusivity, select professionalism, and sophistication that is expected at this level.
Dinner prices run from the $20 to $30, the bar prices are comparable to everywhere else, and the dining room is quite nice. It is rarely ever packed, but the Club is still new. The menu is limited, but adequate, with all of the items of a quality that is acceptable â but not outstanding. The wine list is very good.
Someone joins a club for certain reasons, which have yet to be realized at the Chiquola. I hope that over the next several years the Club becomes a bit more refined and little less relaxed.

We revisited the Chiquola Club several weeks ago when we heard that the kitchen staff had been replaced. Unfortunately, it seems that the Club decided to replace them with recent graduates of a culinary school as there wasn't a single thing on the menu that was inspiring or worth its price. In the food world, experience trumps almost everything and the current kitchen at the Chiquola Club certainly proves that point. My personal advice would be for the management of the Chiquola Club to hire some old hands, and not just the young kids who seem to be the soul employees, to help them bring this potentially worthy establishment up to respectable standards.
