We hired Shoemaker's to replace an air conditioning coil in a furnace at a vacant house. We went to the house a week later and discovered they had left the front door unlocked. One of them removed a "Water Shut Off" sign from the toilet and left a bowel movement in it. On the outside of the furnace, their workmanship on the sheet metal and sealant was very poor. They billed us for one hour more than what was estimated. We wouldn't hire them again or recommend them to others.

We had a major water leak. Service master recommended a general contractor that specialized in diaster service type of work. The general contractor hired Shoemaker's as the HVAC/plumbing sub-contractor. They have been rude and disrepectful. In fact, a consistent "holier than thou" attitude. We were put into temporary housing on our property ( a trailer that sits 25 ft from the house). On the Friday before Labor Day they turned off the water in the house (the water supply for the trailer comes from the house) so we were without water. We had to called Keith Shoemaker at home at 6 pm and he was rather gruff but didn't do anything except to tell us to find the problem. They never came over to tell us, considering the fact that we are on site. The second time, they turned off the water- we had our disabled child in the shower full of stool up her back- No WATER!!! to clean her up. They had left for lunch and we were without water for several hours. We ended having to go to the store to buy bottled water and boil it over our grill, just to get her clean. They failed the rough-in inspection and have not been back to fix their mistakes. The broke the water softner( it was checked before construction) when it was moved, so far they have not fessed up to their error or replaced the water softner. I will never use them again- I am considering legal action. If, they show up and your home- RUN!!!
