   MoreIn one week, my 20 year old water heater started leaking and the compressor on my 8 year old ac unit died. I only moved into my house a little over a year ago, and was looking forward to having a dual cooling home, but it never panned out. When we got in the house, the neither the AC nor the evap was needed to be on and we only tested that they both worked. But as it turned out that despite the AC working, the vent that is supposed to close at the evap connection got stuck open somehow, and so the AC unit never was able to cool 3/4 of my house. The first summer here was pretty rough, and the electric bill was astounding. Less
