My girlfriend and I have given Prime our second chance tonight and it was worth the effort. The mussel appetizer was generous and delicious. The prime rib succulent. Her sirloin was cooked perfect. Her wedge salad was huge and very tasty and My house salad wonderful. The staff was very attentive and Jan the owner vwas very gracious and caring.
Prime is the perfect restaurant for a special nite with loved ones or friends.
A special note here.....Jan heard that we were not very satisfied on our first visit and she went out of her way to find a way to contact me and invite us back to her establishment. That is the sign of an owner that cares not only about her business, but one who takes pride in ownership and the community. Cheers Jan.
If you are looking for the best prime rib and wine list in Ventura County I would make my way to Prime Steakhouse. The stylish, warm, charming, and romantic ambiance and friendly and knowledgeable staff is what keeps me frequenting this restaurant. The menu is luscious and the food is delectable. Whether you are looking for a bite to eat or want to relax at the bar while listening to live music...Prime makes for a night of pleasure.
My wife and I recently gave Prime Steakhouse a second chance. I will keep this terse... we were not satisfied on many levels; the food was not even warm, wine list could have been great if they had what was offered, Prime Rib was riddled with fat as we were told, "quality Prime RIb will have plenty of fat"?????WHAT???? Needless to say our dogs were happy to see us when we got home as they ate much better then we did that night.
The second star in the rating is for "good luck" - they'll need it if they think they will survive as a fine dinning establishment in Ventura.

Obviously a shill post. The writing style sounds like someone in the advertising business: (The stylish, warm, charming, and romantic ambiance and friendly and knowledgeable staff...) Did you get this from a commercial? Notice the lack of generality and the use of adjectives.
I think the person above simply knows how to write, it is how I would have said it; dont be jealous :(
