Absolutely spectacular! I've never seen a sushi menu with more variety. The Hollywood roll is outstanding and of course the one and only tempure mango ice cream. Service is top notch, owned by a generous Korean family. The ginger dressing on the salad is unsurpassed and every Tuesday is $1 nigiri. The only place that compares to Ninja is Godaiko in Novi.
I was not very impressed by Ninja Sushi. First of all, the place is small. The decor is just OK but nothing out of the ordinary, kind of reminded me of Sushi Ko restaurant on 12 Mile and Orchard Lake Rd in Farmington Hills. Also, can't say that the quality of food is excellent. Just average for my taste. Prices are not cheap as some reviewers indicated. Miso soup and salad as well as the tea are included with any order, which is a good plus. However, tea was not true green tea you typically expect in a Japanese establishment. On the bright side, waitress did try to accommodate us but with poor knowledge of English our order was misunderstood, and of course, was not what we asked for. Maybe I am being too harsh on the restaurant but after reading one review here and 6 reviews on tripadvisor website I truly expected something magical. I have visited many, many Japanese restaurants since 1995 and if you truly want magical experience, visit Yotsuba Restaurant less than 1 mile away on Orchard Lake and 14 Mile Rd. Maybe this is why it is so hard for me to rate Ninja Sushi at 5 stars.
Although this restraunt isn't the OLDEST restraunts around... i'd say it's one of the best! The artwork is spectacular and EDIBLE! It's amazing! The free soup and salads in the beggining and the free desert of beautifully decorated fruit in the end! It's amazing! And when i recieved the bill... MARVELOUS! THe sushi is cheap... delicious.. And a clean environment. I reccomend you all to come to this spectacular restraunt. It's good for family, friends, and for food!

And you have to understand, this restraunt is a very YOUNG restraunt as you would say. I would agree, you are a bit TOO harsh with your "Japanese establishment" critiquing, however I believe otherwise. I believe this restraunt is doing fairly well although its kind of new, and the food is great! New waitresses with a superior knowledge of english has been hired so I don't see a problem with that. I also don't agree with your statement about the food, since I myself loved the food and their beautiful show. My son and I greatly appreciated their come alongs, salad and soup. In addition they're prices aren't so bad, unlike Mene or Ajishin! I do not agree with your love with the restraunt "Yotsuba" since I have been there many times and all they do is fight and they're not freindly. Extremely rude to the customers. Therefore, I would like to rerepresent Ninja Sushi as a FINE restraunt, rather than "Yotsuba."
