Great little cafe in a small townâ - WGBâ - Today
Was traveling to Thomasville, Georgia, and passing through Pavo, a very small town in south Georgia. We passed by, and turned around and went into the Corner Cafe and took a look at the menu. The cafe is not big, but, had adequate, comfortable seating. It was was formerly the location of Pavo bank, with the vault left intact in the dining area. I don't have the menu in front of me, but, they had general fare of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and on next page of menu, basic deli sandwiches, such as Reuben, Philly Cheese Steak, and others. We ordered a reuben and a philly cheese, requesting that the reuben come with the dressing on the side, and with very little oil in browning the rye bread. Both sandwiches were quite good compared with other places, and service was pretty fast (under 10 minutes). We learned that they had a courtyard in back, and that they served steaks on Friday and Saturday nights. We were very pleased with the service and with the food, and would definitely stop again.
