It was just an all around fun time. My husband and I went while on vacation. We don't have kids but we had a blast cheering for our knight and booing the evil knight. It's an entertaining way to just kick back and act silly while eating and watching a show. Definitely worth the upgrade to the front row: you get a dvd and a free picture and little banner. We had fun because we were just being silly and had no reservations on what to expect. I had been here 12 years ago when I was a senior in high school and I forgot how fun it can be. The food was ok. The chicken was tasty but a little dry. Try to save a little bit of your tomato soup to dip your chicken in as there is no medieval ketchup. I thought the soup was yummy and the rib was good. There was way too much food for me so my husband ate my apple pastry. We also got the wine and goblet special so we had a bottle of wine and commemorative glasses to take home. There is a gift shop and photo opportunities before and after the show. We tipped our serf/wench because he did a good job. Overall, very entertaining. I can't wait to take my nephew to the show, I definitely think he would enjoy it. If you're thinking that this is going to be high class food and theater entertainment, you'll be disappointed. Go in there with an open mind ready to have fun and you'll have a blast. My throat is sore from booing at the bad knight!
