I have been to Amelie's twice and eaten there once. Why the disparity, you ask? The service was SO bad the second time, we walked out in mid-order. The first time, the service was nearly as bad. However, they already had our money, so we suffered through their ineptitude. The food is fine and the pastries are good, but they are not worth being treated so badly by the staff. You can find the same quality or better at properly run establishments with polite staff. I gave the place two chances and will never go back.

Both the eats and the eclectic furniture and tchotchke keep your senses engaged. I would live there, if I could! Try the little tea cakes...pieces of heaven! The savory tartines are to die for, as well.

Love this place! Not just a bakery anymore, they've added sandwiches, soups, and even a country pate! It was a little confusing, not knowing if table service was provided, but we worked through it - it's sort of order at the counter, and pick it up.

The soups were outragously good! I had a caramelized onion & portabella mushroom with goat cheese and my friend had a spinach asparagus leek soup. We shared the country pate sandwich that was made on their phenomenal baguette. Yum!
