I have had a horrible experience with this gym. It's hot and dirty, half of the cardio equipment is broken as well as the TV's. I followed the cancellation procedures by the letter, which meant mailing my cards in 60 days before contract expired and they're still charging me. When I call, whoever it is I need to speak with is in a meeting. When I go to the gym to speak with someone in person, whoever it is I need to speak with is in a meeting. This has been going on since July and it is now October. Please do not join this gym
I have had the worst experience with Elisabeth and the rest of the unprofessional staff that works there!! I can't wait till my membership runs out so I can leave that place! If you don't mind incompetent people with attitudes, then it's a great place!
Nice, honest area supervisors are about their only good quality. The management is horrible ever since they lost Shane. I've been a member for a year, but I've since moved. I've tried for over a week, and I can't get the account manager to call me back. She's also never available when I call. I canceled the credit card they have for billing me, because I lost it several months ago. Not only have they not called the number listed on my account to get paid, they won't return my calls to get paid. I could just walk away, but I know it will come back to bite me. My advice would be to break down and find a gym a little closer to Fort Worth. Just because they carry the Gold's Gym name; doesn't mean Gold's Gym quality because they are franchise not corporate. This also means they aren't recognized by the other Gold's. If you travel much, you'd be much better off finding a corporate gym unless you like paying $10 a day while traveling.
