Great sushi - try the volcano roll! We also tried the buffet (the dinner has great steak and calamari!). Couldn't resist one more time for the hibachi - absolutely delicious. Best food in town...
I was in Florida for 8 days with my Son. We are from Central CA and I was there partly for business (2 of the 8 days) After 3 days in Miami I was ready to spend 4 days at a nice resort in Disney. After a great air-boat ride at Boggy Creek (make sure you ask for the original location at East Fish Lake) anyway we got to our resort and searched for a Hibachi style restaurant. I was expecting to spend $80 + for the 2 dinners and maybe a Sushi Roll. Mt. Fuji came up but I soon realized it was about a 40 minute drive. I researched the menu and thought the prices were too good to be true. I called the place and the owner answered the phone and assured me we would not be dissapointed. I did not even call anywhere else- I could tell by the conversation I had with him on the phone we were in for a treat and let me tell you.... it still beat all expectations. We both had drinks, shared a great Sushi Roll, I had the grilled vegitable dinner (10.95) and my Son had the Filet and Shrimp combo (18.95). With all of that our bill was around $45 if I remember correctly. If you are looking for a great dining experience GO GO GO. If you are staying at Disney- get out of that area for a night- avoid the Orlando "experience" Disney during the day is good enough- relax, enjoy the drive. We had a great drive back- way too full but we had almost a dinner left-over and my Son was really glad we went and had a great time. I am sure all of the Hibachi chefs are good but there is one that stands out- I do not remember his name but you may want to ask for the "really funny" one. I talked to a couple local regulars and they said he is the best as far as the entertainment. If you live in the area all I can say is I am jealous..... Only because of this restaurant of course. I look forward to my next visit to the area- i will never go to Florida and not make this one of my Restaurant choices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way BB King has a great Restaurant in Orlando- those two restaurants were our favorite!
Thank you Mt. Fuji
Today being August 28, 2009 my significant companion and I came in the door of the Mt Fuji Japanese Steakhouse for the first time. Here, we were sure to compliment its manager on the unusual almost countertrend bright decorum of its polished floors, blond-colored walls, ceiling panels, and freize ornamentaling moldings that stands apart from the usual somber darkness of wood stains commonly observed in Far East architecture that runs contrary to the enjoyable dining experience. Using superlatives to describe food quality, preparation, and cleanliness from (1):Good - (2): Better - (3) Best... It was better than best!
